SECTION 00030 ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TENDER PROJECT: 2022 GRAYSON ROAD RESURFACING PROGRAM OWNER: Town of Grayson ENGINEER: Precision Planning, Inc. Sealed bids will be received by OWNER for general contractor to supply all materials, labor , tools, equipment and any other miscellaneous items needed to improve drainage along Bennett Road located in Grayson, Georgia. PROJECT SCOPE: The project includes edge milling, milling, limited patching and grading, layout and final coat of asphalt over Britt Street and Grayson Yard. A more detailed scope of work items by street is shown below: BRITT STREET (SECTION A) FROM INTERSECTION AT ROSEBUD ROAD FOR APPROX. 1,150 LF TO CURVE NEAR DOVE LAKE • EDGE MILL ALONG CURB OF SOUTH SIDE OF STREET (APPROX 1,150 LF) • APPLY 1 ½” FINAL ASPHALT SURFACE (APPROX 250 TN) • REPAINT 1 STOP BARS (APPROXIMATELY 12LF) • RESTRIPED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AT ROSEBUD ROAD (APPROXIMATELY 264LF) BRITT STREET (SECTION B) FROM CURVE NEAR DOVE LAKE APPROXIMATELY 2400LF TO INTERSECTION WITH PINE GROVE ROAD • CUT A 10 FEET WIDE SEGMENT OF ROAD 2” DEEP (APPROXIMATELY 2,400 LF) • ADJUST THE HEIGHT OF THE COVERS BY 2 MH • APPLY THE LAST 2 FEET OF ASPHALT SURFACE COATING FOR THE SECTION MILLED (ABOUT 290 TN) • REPAINT 1 STOP BAR (ABOUT 12 LF) SHORT GRAYSON • MACHINING ENTIRE WIDTH OF 2″ ROAD (ABOUT 215 LF) • REPAIR AND LEVEL AREAS AS DIRECTED BY NEGINEER (ABOUT 4 ,4 TN) •APPLY THE FINAL 2″ OF ASPHALT SURFACE COATING (APPROX. 117 TN) •REPAINT 1 STOP BAR (APPROX. 12 LF) naries are required to provide lump sum bids for the scope of this project. Any package received after 2 p.m. will not be taken into account by the OWNER. Submissions will be evaluated by the OWNER and project award is scheduled for the week of March 21, 2022. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. Questions should be emailed only to [email protected] no later than 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022. The required turnaround time for this project is one hundred and twenty (120) days from commencement. OWNER requires a bid bond issued by a surety registered with the Treasury as licensed in the State of Georgia, or a cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of your total bid to be attached to your bid at time of the opening offer to the order of the OWNER. No other form of guarantee will be acceptable. The tender dossier must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the “OWNER, c/o Precision Planning”. The TENDERER will provide one (1) original and one (1) copy in each envelope. Each sealed envelope of submission must be clearly marked on the outside as “2022 GRAYSON ROAD RESURFACING PROGRAM”. All packages received without the above criteria will be returned to the BIDDER. All tender documents must be drawn up on the form of tender of the type bound in the contract documents, in accordance with the instructions in the information for BIDDERS. No line spacing, additions or deletions should be made in the Proposal Form by the BIDDER. No conditional offers will be accepted. The contract will be awarded for a sum stipulated to the lowest reliable BIDDER, on the basis of the fixed price plus any combination of alternatives (if any) acceptable to the owner. The OWNER reserves the right to reject all offers, waive formalities and republish. No BIDDER may withdraw its bid within the time period specified in Instructions to Bidders Section 00100.
