SCERT Organizes Workshop to Develop Instruction Manual for Contextualized MLT in ECCE in Light of NCF-2022 – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News

JAMMU: A five-day workshop to develop an instruction manual for contextualized MLT in ECCE in light of NCF-2022, held from October 27 to November 1 here at SCERT J&K, Jammu Divisional Office, took place finished today.

The training was organized by the Population Education, Girls Education, ECCE and Education for All Wing of the State Board of Educational Research and Training-J&K, Jammu Divisional Office to guide teachers in the creation and use of locally contextualized TLMs to teach pre-primary students under the guidance and supervision of JD SCERT HRPakhroo.

Following the essence of the recently launched NCF 2022 on Foundational Steps, the focus is on connecting learning with the local context. Moreover, MLT based on locally available materials becomes an effective strategy for making the best use of local resources, whereby students are not only familiarized with their local context, but the cost of creating a variety of materials. clearance is also reduced. The workshop focused entirely on creating a free/low-cost MLT derived from local resources of regional and cultural significance.

While chairing the workshop, HR Pakhroo, Co-Director of SCERT-J&K Jammu Division, commended resource persons and experts for their great efforts, including Prof. Romila Soni, Associate Professor, DEE, NCERT, New Delhi, Ms. Savitri Singh, former Head Master, IIT Nursery School, New Delhi, Ms. Amita Kaushik, Co-founder Eduweave Foundation New Delhi, Anandi Tokas, Eduweave Foundation Program head, Anshita Mishra, Program head, Eduweave Foundation, Jaswinder Kour, DRC Pre Coordinator -primary Education, Jammu Division, Dr. Sarita Sharma, DRC Deputy Pre-Primary Education Coordinator, Jammu Division, Roohi Sultana, Kashmir ECCE Expert.

All renowned experts actively deliberated on the carefully planned themes and topics relating to the teaching of learning materials in ECCE and NCF 2022.

Presiding over the farewell session attended by faculty including Surjeet Sharma, Swarn Singh, NPSingh, Pawan Gupta, Kishor Kumar, Dr Sanjeevani, JD, SCERT-JK HRPakhroo congratulated all the participants from ten districts of Jammu Division for the successful completion of the task and urged all participants to actively use contextualized TLM in effective classroom transactions and implement the learning from the workshop in their subject areas, thereby achieving the goals of NCF-2022 in light of NEP -2020.

Workshop participants actively participated in participatory work. All participating trainees showed an overwhelming, active and constructive response throughout the program.

The proceedings of the workshop were coordinated by Deepak Sharma, Sr. Academic Officer SCERT-JK and coordinated by Monika Dogra and Shazia Kouser and technical coordination was carried out by Anil Sharma, Meena Thakur, Akash Khajuria and Yugal Kishore under the direction of NP Singh, Wing Commander.
