NDE trains young FCT on PoP installation, CCTV and others

As part of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s stated commitments to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, the National Directorate of Employment, NDE-FCT has engaged no less than 30 unemployed youths in various skills under the environmental beautification training.

NDE Managing Director Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was ably represented by NDE-FCT National Coordinator Noble Chimereze said during the orientation program for the 30 participants that NDE remained passionate about reducing poverty. poverty in the country through profitable skills engagement, which will transform the fortunes of the participants from job seekers to job providers.

Fikpo instructed the participants to be business-minded, to submit to being trained by the master trainers on their choice of skills in order to improve their lot and that of the people around them.

In addition, the Head of Department, Special Department of Public Works of NDE-FCT, Sani Nadappo, said that the program is very robust and ranges from installing satellites to installing CCTV cameras, including projection, fabrication and installation of PoP, adding that the participants will be sent to various relevant agencies who will train them within three months.

Nadappo said participants will each get N2,000, every month to support their transportation and at the end of the three-month training, NDE will give participants starter packs that will enable them to be economically independent and to contribute their quota to the economic development of the nation.

Appreciating the NDE, one of the participants, John Chobo, thanked the NDE management for giving them the opportunity to be part of the training, saying that the training will go a long way in improving their livelihoods.
