Mendota reporter | New Cookie Helps Girl Scouts Launch 2021-2022 Cookie Program

MENDOTA – Local Girl Scouts will be launching the 2021-2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program with online sales starting Monday, December 13. Digital Cookie 8.0 allows Girl Scouts to take electronic cookie orders. Customers can now order and pay for cookies online and have the option to have cookies shipped directly (shipping charges apply), have a Girl Scout offer contactless delivery of cookies to their doorstep or donate cookies (no additional processing costs). New this year, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois will be offering free shipping on all drop-shipping orders of 10 or more cookie packs placed December 17-18.

Digital Cookie 8.0 is an innovative and educational web-based addition to the cookie program that helps Girl Scouts manage and manage their cookie activity online. Now in its eighth year, Digital Cookie is bringing Girl Scout programming into the future by providing invaluable business and science experience, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills that prepare them for the leadership of the next century.

Local Girl Scouts will also take cookie orders securely in person (and online) from January 5 to 29. A new Girl Scout cookie is featured this season in Adventurefuls, a gourmet brownie-inspired cookie with creme caramel and a hint of sea salt. The full cookie lineup includes all of your favorites, including refreshing thin mints (vegan), caramel samoas, peanut butter stuffed tagalong, crispy do-si-dos, buttery clovers, s’mores sweets, caramel toffees (gluten free too) and more. The cookies are on sale for $ 5 per pack.

During Girl Scout Cookie Season, every young entrepreneur sets out to sell delicious cookies while developing entrepreneurial and business skills essential for leadership and future success. All net income collected, 100 percent, remains in the northern Illinois area.
