87e Replacement of the St.

The Town of Naperville yesterday held a public information meeting on the 87e Replacement of the street bridge. The bridge, located slightly east of Plainfield-Naperville Road, was built in 1961. Park District Program Guide

The Naperville Park District Fall 2022 Program Guide is now available online. The guide features returning programs as well as new offerings like a drone pilot class, video editing with Adobe Premier Pro, a Code Ninjas class, senior archery, and a trip to see “The Sound of Music “. There are also special events listed like The Wonderful World of Wheels and Halloween Happening and a full list of park district facility information. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on August 1 for residents and 8:30 a.m. on August 4 for non-residents.

Senior of the Year Nominations

The Senior Task Force is asking the public to help find their Senior of the Year. Applications are open until August 15. The ideal candidate should be 65 years of age or older, be a Naperville resident, have a history of community service, and be someone who gives selflessly. Nomination forms are available on the City’s Upper Task Force website.

Nick Ryan Book Signing

On Tuesday, Nick Ryan, CEO of Marquette Companies and promoter of Water Street in downtown Naperville, hosted a special book signing event at Anderson’s Bookshop. The longtime Naperville resident was promoting the release of his first book, From donkey to joy. In the book, Ryan shares the life lessons he learned during his first marriage and his second, and how he gained a deeper understanding of love, marriage, and family fusion.

Last Adventure Volunteer Lounge

On August 4, the Naperville Jaycees are hosting a Last Fling volunteer fair at the Judd Kendall VFW. The Last Fling Executive Committee will be on hand to share information on volunteer opportunities available for the Labor Day Weekend Festival. The Volunteer Fair runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a quiz night that starts at 7:45 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.
